Our Services
Whether your kitchen needs a face-lift or your bath is a mold farm, you're expecting a new arrival or wondering how you can live out your later years in your own home, Mantelpeace can help. Our forte is making a home's spaces work for its occupants. If a project requires some exterior work we can handle that but our specialty is transforming existing spaces to meet our clients' needs and desires. This is not only generally more cost effective than adding to a home's footprint, we feel it is also better for our planet and our clients to limit the amount of space that needs to be conditioned and to maximize outdoor green space. From consultation and planning to handling complete renovations - we are here to help.

With over 40 years of remodeling experience I can offer a unique perspective on a home's possibilities and help to plan for both maintenance and future projects.
REMODELING
We have remodeled dozens of kitchens and baths around Rhode Island. Because we have our own shop we can create unique cabinetry to suite your taste. We have fine subcontractors who have worked with us for many years to handle plumbing, electrical, tiling, etc.

Why Mantelpeace?
A message from our founder
I've now been renovating homes for over 40 years. The most rewarding part of those years is the relationships I have formed with clients. I've watched clients' families grow and helped adapt their homes from new spaces for children to help with aging in place.
Over those years, through those relationships, I have developed a unique approach to home renovations in which the homeowners take the lead in reshaping their space. My role has been more that of adviser and collaborator than that of the traditional contractor.
About ten years ago, after operating under my own name, I formed Mantelpeace with the object of creating a business that could carry on this approach after I finally leave. Though I am of an age to retire I do not envision retiring any time soon. Still, I realize I cannot continue this work forever.
Mantelpeace is still a work in progress but all of us are committed to meeting our clients' needs both in our end product and during the process of working on your home. We are committed to continuing and open communication, to respect for people's spaces and to quality craftsmanship.
